Prerequisite: NIL (admission by audition)
NOTE: MUSI1018 is for students in their first year of study, MUSI2047 for second year, MUSI3019 for third year, and MUSI4002 for fourth year.

Students enrolled in this course will benefit from one-to-one tuition from some of Hongkong’s leading musicians, as well as masterclass opportunities throughout the year. Furthermore, students will have the opportunity to collaborate in a team setting, engaging in the designing of two class-recital concert programmes. Throughout the process, they will acquire hands-on experience in organising their own concerts, confronting the practical issues regarding logistics and promotion. The course coordinator will advise the students on all of these issues, in addition to organising master classes throughout the academic year.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
  • improve performance skills and explore the historical dimension and interpretive challenges of the chosen repertory;
  • develop the skills to engage in collaborative music-making.
